Miner web interface

Also called: IP address, miner dashboard, web UI

A miner's web interface is its built-in settings page. You open it by typing the machine's IP address into a browser on the same local network.

An ASIC has no screen or keyboard. To configure it, you use its web interface: a management page hosted by the machine's control board. You reach it from a computer or phone connected to the same local network by typing the miner's IP address into the browser's address bar, then entering the username and password.

It is the machine's control center. This is where you enter the mining pools, usually one main pool and one or two backups, along with the worker name. You can follow the hashrate of each hashboard, the temperatures, the fan speeds and the event log. It is also where you update the firmware or change the operating mode.

To find the IP address, check the list of connected devices in your router's interface, or use the discovery tool provided by the manufacturer. On many Antminers, a dedicated button reports the IP address to that tool. Change the default password the first time you log in, and never expose the interface directly to the internet: for remote access, go through a VPN or a secure monitoring tool.

Our tutorials show step by step how to connect an Antminer, open its interface and link it to a pool. The HappyMining firmware adds a detailed dashboard and an API for managing a fleet.
