Kaspa miner comparison 2026: Antminer KS7, KS5 Pro, IceRiver KS5L and KS5M
Kaspa (KAS) has become, after Bitcoin, the most ASIC-mined algorithm in Europe. Since the Antminer KS7 arrived, the efficiency gap between machines is so wide that it alone decides profitability at a European electricity price. Here is our comparison of the Kaspa miners we sell and install.
At a glance
| Machine | Hashrate | Power | Efficiency | Noise | Profile |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Antminer KS7 36 TH | 36 TH/s | 2772 W | 77 J/TH | 75 dB | The 2026 reference |
| Antminer KS5 Pro | 21 TH/s | 3150 W | 150 J/TH | 75 dB | Bitmain entry price |
| Antminer KS5 | 20 TH/s | 3000 W | 150 J/TH | 75 dB | Same efficiency, cheaper |
| IceRiver KS5M | 15 TH/s | 3400 W | 227 J/TH | 75 dB | Very cheap power only |
| IceRiver KS5L | 12 TH/s | 3400 W | 283 J/TH | 75 dB | Same |
| IceRiver KS0 Ultra | 400 GH/s | 100 W | 250 J/TH | < 45 dB | Learning at home |
Why efficiency decides everything
On Kaspa the reward per TH is the same for every machine; only the electricity bill changes. At 0.30 €/kWh a KS7 spends about €20 a day for 36 TH/s; a KS5 Pro spends €22.70 for 21 TH/s; an IceRiver KS5L spends €24.50 for 12 TH/s. The KS7 therefore produces three times more KAS than the KS5L for a lower bill. That is what makes older generations hard to run profitably in Europe without very cheap power or solar surplus.
Antminer KS7: the machine to buy in 2026
At 77 J/TH the KS7 halves the energy per hash of the KS5 Pro. It is the only Kaspa machine that stays profitable at a German or Belgian electricity price in most price scenarios. It uses Bitmain's usual chassis and firmware, is set up like a Bitcoin Antminer and accepts every Kaspa pool. Our KS7 setup guide covers wiring, pool and wallet step by step.
KS5 Pro and KS5: the entry price
Since the KS7 launched, KS5 prices have fallen sharply. At 150 J/TH they remain interesting for a miner with cheap electricity (solar surplus, night tariff, hosting) who wants a lower purchase price per TH. The KS5 and KS5 Pro share the same efficiency; only the hashrate (20 vs 21 TH/s) and the price differ.
IceRiver KS5L and KS5M: only with very cheap power
IceRiver carried Kaspa mining in 2023-2024, but at 227-283 J/TH these machines use three to four times more energy per hash than a KS7. We only recommend them in hosting or with an electricity cost below 0.08 €/kWh.
Learning Kaspa at home: KS0 Ultra
To learn without constraints, the IceRiver KS0 Ultra (400 GH/s, 100 W, quiet) plugs into a normal socket and runs in an office. It will only earn a few KAS a day, but it is the best way to understand a pool, a wallet and Kaspa's volatility before investing in a KS7.
Our advice before buying
- Work out your profitability with your real tariff in our calculator: the KAS price and the difficulty move every day.
- Plan a dedicated 16 A line (KS7) or 20 A (KS5 Pro), and a room where 75 dB bothers nobody.
- Create your wallet before delivery: see creating a Kaspa wallet.
- If you have neither a suitable room nor cheap electricity, our hosting runs your machine in the USA with monitoring included.
All our Kaspa machines are tested before shipping and delivered across Europe with the manufacturer warranty. See all Kaspa miners.
