HiveOS
HiveOS is a Linux-based mining operating system. It sets up and monitors GPU and ASIC rigs from an online dashboard.
HiveOS is an operating system designed for mining. Based on Linux, it installs on a USB stick, an SSD or a drive in the rig, and boots straight into a ready-to-mine environment. It recognizes graphics cards, includes the main mining software and can be managed remotely from a web dashboard or a mobile app.
Its main benefit is centralized management. From a single account, you can see the hashrate, temperature, power consumption and fan speed of each card, apply GPU settings, restart a machine or switch coins in a few clicks. Mining configurations are grouped into flight sheets, which combine a coin, a wallet, a pool and a mining program. HiveOS can also monitor ASICs, which is handy for managing a mixed fleet.
To build a rig running HiveOS, you need a motherboard that accepts all the graphics cards you plan to use, PCIe risers, a sufficient power supply and a storage device for the system. Check the number of PCIe slots on the motherboard and the power supply's wattage on the product page. Once booted, the rig links to your account using an ID and password specific to the machine.
Our mining kits bring together a motherboard, processor, memory and frame to get a rig started, and our tutorials guide you step by step.
