Mining rack
Also called: Antrack, miner rack
A mining rack is a shelving unit or cabinet that holds several miners with their power and cooling, such as the Antrack.
A mining rack is used to install several machines in a way that is orderly, safe and easy to maintain. For air-cooled ASICs, it is often an open metal shelving unit, arranged so that cool air comes in on one side and hot air leaves on the other. For hydro miners, it is a complete cabinet that also integrates the liquid cooling loop.
Bitmain's Antrack is the best-known example of a hydro rack. It holds up to four hydro miners for a maximum electrical load of 24 kW, with a built-in liquid cooling loop. Recent versions, such as the AR22, add power distribution, a network switch, a heat exchanger and safety features such as an emergency stop. The benefit is a ready-to-use installation, without having to design the plumbing yourself.
Before choosing a rack, check the total electrical power to supply, the type of connection, often three-phase for hydro cabinets, the floor load, the dimensions and the clearance needed around it for maintenance. For air-cooled machines, plan how hot air will be exhausted from the room. The heat from a hydro rack can also be recovered to heat water or a building, a real plus for a farming or small-business project.
We offer Antrack racks and can deliver, install and commission these installations anywhere in France.
